It's been too long, I know, but believe it or not, I felt I had nothing to say?!!!
Now, though, I sense a need in myself and others. So, I issue an invite to those who might perchance read these posts. To those who have been purposely driven out because of your rejection of PDL and other un-biblical aberrations, join me, and others, to discuss, ponder and pray.
I offer a couple of quotes for your consideration today. More later.
"The sheep are being gradually led away from the Bible, and led to the strange fire of the teachings of men."
"While it is commendable that the church is moved with compassion to feed the poor, the church, itself, is not eating to well. The pendulum of sound doctrine and solid food has swung away, and it doesn't show any sings of returning in the near future." (both quotes: Scott MacIntyre--Wood and Steel Ministries.
Lord, help us to see how near you are. RO!

Yay! A new post. Sorry, though, I don't know what PDL stands for?

Thanks for finally posting, Dad! Sorry it took me so long to respond. (I had to get over the shock of hearing from you again!)

I agree that the Purpose Driven Life teachings have infiltrated and had a negative effect on the Church. It's definitely something that Christians need to be aware of and to search the Scriptures to find the truth about this and other teachings. However, I think there is some danger in becoming too focused on the fallacy of other teachings and neglecting our own pursuit of biblical truth. This is not to point fingers or say that initiating dialog about PDL and other issues is wrong. Sometimes, focusing on the lies in certain teachings leads us to seek truth. But, I also think there is a difference between exposing lies and pursuing truth and that our ultimate focus should be on the latter. Too much emphasis on the former can, at times, cause a certain "hardness" (for lack of a better word) to rise up in us. Does that make sense?

I'd love to know your (and Mollie's) thoughts about this....

Love you MUCHO! Hugs and kisses....
