Just pondering, again, the relationship I have with the Father. Been reading and contemplating the M. Phillips book, Make Me Like Jesus! What a prayer that is and not to be entered into lightly. Also been studying how God's laws guide our lives. Finally been realizing that the law is there to minister to my need. What need is that? The need to convict me when I do that which is wrong or fail to endeavor to do that which is right and good. Humbling, ain't it?

Waiting. That's my middle name, now. Waiting--for healing; for God's direction for the next thing He's doing in my life; in the ministry He's called us to. If finances were not a concern, then going and doing would be simply a matter of where and when. C. admits to having no interest in that which is of interest to me so that definitely places a bit of a crimp in the where and when.
Now, with parents in need of care, things become even more complicated. Prayers go up for N's security while we await I's recovery from surgery scheduled for next week. Big thanks to family on the front-lines back east since we can't be there to help. Love you all a lot.

'Tis a bit strange being unemployed and, at least temporarily, unemployable due to my injury. Still, I can't find my self depressed, just a bit frustrated and impatient to realize the 'next thing' He has for us. I'm not pleased that I am such a slow mover in things myself; why should I be impatient with the Lord. Had a very pleasant comment to my last blog from MH in Scotland. I so admire the work they are doing in such a pagan land. I'd join them in a flash if the funding was available, but, maybe we're not ready for that just yet. I know His plans for us are for our best and good so will need to wait on Him and seek Him constantly for direction, whether or not it's for mission service to the Scots. Thanks to all for the prayers. They're much needed and appreciated.
In Him, Ro
